Dave Harding

Producer

Dave Harding is an Emmy nominated producer of award winning non-fiction and reality-based documentaries, television movies, variety and award specials, and hidden-camera projects.

He is a proven program supplier to the CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX networks, as well as HBO, Showtime, National Geographic, A&E/History Channels and the Discovery Network's multiple networks.

Currently, Dave is supervising the fifth season of Travel Channel's "John Ratzenberger's Made in America," the second season of History Channel's "Mega-Disasters," National Geographic's "Prehistoric Predators," and Animal Planet's "After the Attack" and "Escape to Chimp Eden" series.

Dave also serves as Lionsgate Television's Executive In Charge of Production on all Lionsgate's feature docs, including Werner Herzog's "Encounters at The End of The World," now in theatrical release, Herzog's "Grizzly Man," Lian Lunson's "Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man," and "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" by David Leaf and John Scheinfeld.

Dave executive produced and directed the first two Criss Angel specials, including ABC Family's highly rated Halloween special "Criss Angel MindFreak," and the Sci Fi Channel's magic special "Criss Angel SuperNatural" as well as creating and exec producing "MTV's Celebrity Undercover."

Harding established himself as a producer in the 1980's working with legendary variety producer Bob Banner. During that time, Harding was one of the creators of the syndicated music series "It's Show Time at the Apollo" and produced the first five years of the series, introducing television audiences to Rick Aviles, Sinbad, Mark Curry and Steve Harvey.

Working with Don Weiner at Bob Banner Associates, Harding also produced Dionne Warwick's "That's What Friends Are For," featuring performances by Warwick, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and Elton John, as well as "Yes Virginia, There is A Santa Claus," starring Charles Bronson, Ed Asner and Richard Thomas. In 1989, Harding served as the executive in charge of production for the television movie "Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight 232," starring Charlton Heston, James Coburn and Richard Thomas.

Harding worked with Termite Art Productions as Executive Vice President from the company's creation by Erik Nelson in 1995. Acquired by Lions Gate Television in 1998 then reacquired by Nelson in 2004, Harding now oversees all production at the newly named Creative Differences Productions.

In recognition of the Millennium, Harding produced HBO's celebrated "A Century of Living" in association with Imre Horvath's Rainbow Media. The program features interviews with more than 35 Americans who were born prior to 1900 and who were alive to experience the beginnings of the next millennium.

Harding produced the highly-rated "Wild Rides!" a survey of the finest roller coasters in America. The hugely popular special generated a franchise of Termite-produced specials including "Wild Rides II & III!" "America's Top Ten Coasters," and "Extreme Rides 2000 thru 2002"

Other Specials Harding has overseen include, "Alien Abduction," "Inside Area 51," "Vietnam's Helicopter Heroes" (with Martin Sheen), "World's Deadliest Reptiles," "The Science of Magic," "High Wire-Inside the Ringling Bros. Circus," "Busted On The Job," "The World's Most Dangerous Animals," and "24 Hours in Hotel Hell."

A graduate of Northwestern University with a Masters Degree from the Medill School of Journalism, Harding began his career as a newsman, providing congressional coverage to local markets from Washington D.C
