Amy Jo Berman

Vice President of Casting, HBO Films & Miniseries

Amy Jo Berman, Vice President of Casting for HBO Films and Mini-Series, has been overseeing the casting at HBO for 11 years.  She and her team, are responsible for overseeing all of the casting for HBO's films (both theatrical and made for HBO) in addition to overseeing all of the mini-series casting. 

Most recently, Ms. Berman played a major role in the casting of the critically acclaimed, Emmy award winning mini-series, John Adams, which has achieved some of the highest ratings ever for an HBO mini-series and broke records for achieving the most Emmys for any program to date.  In addition it has been recognized for having an extraordinary assemblage of actors who won multiple Emmys and will likely be among the Golden Globe favorites this year.   Ms. Berman also supervised the casting of this year's Emmy winner for Best Movie, Recount, which received accolades for its outstanding ensemble of actors as well.

Some of Ms. Berman's notable achievements during her career at HBO include her work on Generation Kill, Kit Kittridge: An American Girl, the multi-award inning Angels in America, Elizabeth I and Lackawanna Blues.   Upcoming projects include Taking Chance, which will premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and the highly anticipated Grey Gardens.
