Session Description:
A revolution has been occurring in entertainment as technology continues to have an enormous impact on the way we tell our stories and the way those stories are told to others. Digital has now permeated every level of the entertainment industry, from format to distribution, production to marketing. The boundaries and concept of film, television, and the web are now blurred, both in terms of the definition of a film and the commercial aspect that is now emerging through advertising. Specifically, we look at lonelygirl15 and KateModern as examples of successful web series and whether this format can be duplicated.
